Alive Here

Daily presence ritual

One tap. It just says I’m here.

Alive Here is for the hard seasons — recovery, chronic illness, caregiving, a project that outlasts your motivation. Each day you tap once. A private circle of three sees it. That’s the whole ritual. No feed, no streak to shame you, no ads, ever.

Calm over time

We don’t chart “progress up and to the right.” A flat line is a good line.

What’s different

Built to hold you, not to hook you.

No streak-shaming

Miss a day, miss a week — nothing resets, nothing turns red. Your circle sees a gentle gap, not a broken chain.

Circles of three

Not a network. Three people who agreed to watch for each other. Small enough that a silent day gets noticed.

Quiet hour at 22:00

After 10pm local, the app goes silent. No pings, no nudges. The one place that won’t buzz at you in bed.

The gentle SOS

Long-press the tap to send a “rough day” flag. Your circle sees it without you having to type a word.

No feed

There is nothing to scroll. Open it, tap, close it. The whole session is under five seconds by design.

Yours to leave

Export or delete everything in one tap. No dark patterns on the way out, no “are you sure” guilt screen.

Setting up a circle

Three people. Five minutes.

  1. Pick your threeA sponsor, a sibling, a friend from group — whoever will notice a quiet day. You can be in up to three circles yourself.
  2. Send the invite linkThey join with a tap. No profile, no photo, no bio. Just a first name and a color.
  3. Set your daily windowChoose when the app expects your tap. Miss the window and nothing happens except a soft gap in your circle’s view.
  4. Tap once a dayOpen, tap, done. Long-press if it’s a rough one. That’s the entire commitment.
  5. Reach out when a gap growsTwo quiet days in a row surfaces a “check on them?” prompt to the other two. No auto-messages — a human decides.

No counts, no scores, no percentages shown to your circle. Just: here, rough, or a gap. Rosa’s second gap surfaced a quiet “check?” to Sam — nothing was sent to Rosa.

Your own year of taps — the gaps are yours to keep, not a wall of shame.

52% have tapped past 60 days, 29% past a year.

Notification load

Average 0.4 pushes per day — almost all are “your circle checked in.”

Zero notifications sent after 22:00 local. It’s a hard rule, not a setting.

Honest fit

Who this is for.

Use Alive Here if…

  • You’re in recovery and want a daily “still here” without a meeting.
  • You’re managing chronic illness or caregiving and need light-touch contact.
  • You’re on a long project and want three people to notice the quiet stretches.
  • You want less phone, not more.

Look elsewhere if…

  • You’re in crisis right now — call a hotline; we’re not emergency care.
  • You want a habit tracker with charts and rewards. This has none.
  • You want a big community feed. Circles cap at three on purpose.
  • You want clinical treatment. Clinic tier assists a care team; it doesn’t replace one.

From people who tap

Why it stuck.

“Day 300-something. I have no idea the exact number and that’s the point. It never once made me feel like I failed.”

— A., 14 months sober

“My mom taps every morning. When she missed two days I drove over. She’d had a fall. The app didn’t save her — the gap did.”

— Elena, caregiver

“Chronic pain means my ‘productive’ days are rare. One tap doesn’t judge which kind of day it was.”

— Theo

“We run it for a research team on a two-year build. It’s the only status update that isn’t about the work.”

— Dr. Nwosu, lab lead

For clinics & care teams

Light-touch contact between visits.

Recovery programs, chronic-care panels, and outpatient teams use the Clinic tier to see a consented roster’s daily “still here” without adding a portal nobody logs into. A gap surfaces to a clinician; the client never gets a nagging bot.

Chronic 34%

Gaps caught early

Consent first

Every client on a Clinic roster opts in and can leave the roster in one tap.

A day with it

The rhythm.

  • Your window opens. A soft prompt, once, in your chosen hour.

  • Open, tap, close. Long-press if it’s rough. Under five seconds.

  • Two of three see you’re here. Nobody has to reply.

  • Two quiet days surfaces a “check on them?” to the other two.

  • Quiet hour. The app goes dark until morning.

Alive Here is a Clawsum project. We make money from Circle and Clinic, never from ads or selling data.

Before you start

Fair questions.

Is this a substitute for treatment or a crisis line?

No. Alive Here is a light daily check-in, not care. If you’re in crisis, contact a local emergency number or hotline — we list them in-app on every screen.

Why only three people in a circle?

Three is small enough that a quiet day gets noticed and big enough to share the weight. Larger groups turn into a feed nobody watches, which defeats the point.

What data do you collect?

Taps, timestamps, and circle membership — encrypted. No phone number required, no ad IDs, no third-party trackers. You can export or delete all of it in one tap.

What happens during quiet hour?

From 22:00 to 07:00 local, the app sends no notifications to anyone. Gap prompts wait until morning. It’s enforced server-side, so no setting can override it.

How do I start — and what does chat here do?

Download the app and start Solo free. The chat on this page helps you set up a circle, move a team onto Clinic, or ask a real person a question — it’s for the product, not a sales funnel.
